Since 2006, MOPA has held an annual juried exhibition showcasing the photographic talents of local youth. Every year, students are encouraged to submit work that responds visually to a particular theme. The winning entries are selected for their creativity and artistic interpretation of that year’s topic. The 12th Annual Juried Youth Exhibition's theme was on “boundaries”.
Challenge
Branding a museum exhibition consist of a unique design challenge. Each designed artifact that goes into an exhibition collectively expresses a narrative that brings together a body of artwork to a shared space.
How might we brand a three-dimensional space that exhibits photographic art that conveys the positive and negative expressions towards the theme, boundaries?
My Role
I was the lead graphic designer in charge of the concept and overall visual brand development of the exhibition. Partnered with two other designers, assisting in the ideation phase and focused on interactive installation designs.
